About Maria Nesbit
Photography is the act of aligning your outer senses with your inner feelings; as you hold your breath for an instant, you capture an image that portrays your soul. Taking pictures has always been my passion, and it could just be in my genes since my father had a dark room when I was growing up. I was born and raised in the beautiful coastal town of Veracruz, Mexico. I graduated from Universidad Cristobal Colón with a Business Degree. A wild wind from the ocean brought me to Rockport, TX where I currently reside. I continued my education in Texas A&M Corpus Christi and I have been teaching in Rockport-Fulton High School since 1991. As I started getting close to retirement I became more passionate about my picture taking and showing my photography. My favorite quote is “Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.” by Marc Riboud
